There's always something on in Toowoomba, the hard part is remembering it's on. This is our running list of what happens at The Rock through the week, so you can pick a night and turn up without a plan.
Tuesday is trivia
Trivia night kicks off every Tuesday at 6:30pm. It's free to play, there's a weekly cash jackpot and drink vouchers up for grabs, and teams that register by 6pm get first crack at a table. Come in early, order dinner, then argue about the music round like everyone else.
Live sport, all week
Every big game goes up on the big screens with the sound on. League, AFL, cricket, racing and the fights all get a run, and there's room for the whole crew rather than the three seats nearest the telly. Snacks run from 2pm to 6pm Wednesday to Sunday, so an afternoon game and a plate of Korean fried chicken wings is a perfectly reasonable Saturday.
What's coming up
Oktoberfest After Party lands on Saturday 3 October, straight after Field Daze wraps, with special guest Mr Sax. Melbourne Cup follows on Tuesday 3 November, with every race on the screens, lunch from the kitchen and drinks all afternoon. Both are worth booking a table for.
The everyday stuff
Lunch runs from 11:30am to 2pm with a $20 lunch menu Monday to Friday, covering a 180g rump, schnitzel, beer battered barramundi, a crispy chicken burger, grilled chicken linguine or a margherita pizza. Snacks carry the middle of the day from 2pm to 6pm Wednesday to Sunday, then dinner starts at 5:30pm.
